Latex fashion looks incredible — but only if you give it the right care. Follow these simple tips to keep your latex clothing shiny, flexible, and long-lasting.

Washing Your Latex

After every wear, gently wash your latex garment by hand in lukewarm water with a small amount of mild soap. Rinse thoroughly with clean water to remove any soap residue. Then let it air dry, away from direct sunlight and heat.
Never wash latex in a washing machine, or use a tumble dryer or hair dryer!

Polishing and Preventing Stickiness

Once your latex is clean and dry, apply a special latex polish or silicone-based product to the outside of the garment. This keeps the material glossy and prevents it from sticking to itself. If you plan to store your latex for a long time, you can also lightly treat the inside with powder or dressing aid to help prevent sticking.

Storing Your Latex Clothing

Store latex clothing either carefully folded or on a hanger. If you need to fold your garment, avoid sharp creases — place soft tissue paper between folds to prevent permanent wrinkles.

Ideally, hang latex items on plastic or padded hangers.
Keep your latex in a cool, dry place away from sunlight, and heat. Never store latex where temperatures are high or humidity is present.

Important Storage Reminders

Don’t mix colors: Store light and dark-colored latex items separately to avoid staining.

Keep away from oils: Oil-based lubricants and creams can irreversibly damage latex — avoid any contact.

No metal contact: Don’t let latex touch copper, brass, bronze, or similar metals — they can leave stains.

Quick Tips

Let your latex breathe for a while after cleaning before putting it away.

Use talcum powder or silicone-based lubricant inside your garment to make dressing easier and prevent sticking.

Always trim nails and remove sharp jewelry before putting on latex to prevent accidental damage.
